Weight Changes After Liposuction

So when we lose weight the fat cells shrink and when we Liposuction you actually remove the fat cells! When you get a Tummy Tuck we  remove skin and fat. So we are actually removing "bank accounts" . using the same analogy think about your income or your intake of calories being the same but you have removed a certain number of bank accounts (fat cells)., so what is going to happen? You are either going to have to burn a few more calories doing exercise or the bank accounts that are still open are going to increase in size! That is why other areas of your body over a two-year period may slowly increase. I have been accused of chasing fat around the body many years ago and now I had this discussion just like this with every patient then undergoes liposuction or tummy tuck so they know what they have to do to maintain their shape.
