What is INNOPen™ Microneedling?
INNOPen™ microneedling system uses fine electronically powered needles to penetrate the skin or scar tissue and stimulate collagen to renew the skin. This procedure also increases the absorption of medical grade skin care products and supplements into the skin. INNOPen™ works by stimulating your body’s natural production of collagen, elastin, and hyaluronic acid (HA). These proteins improve your skin’s tone, texture, and appearance.

How is the INNOPen™ Microneedling Procedure Performed?
The INNOPen™ microneedling procedure begins with a thorough cleaning of the skin. This step is followed by the topical application of anesthetic cream. Once you have been made sufficiently comfortable, we will use INNOPen™ to make microscopic holes in the treatment area. These holes go deep enough to stimulate your body’s natural healing response, but not deep enough to require a lengthy recovery.
We can use your own platelet-rich plasma or vitamins and skin enhancing medicines before and during the 20 minutes after the microneedling is complete.* This is done to make use of the “open channels” created by the INNOPen™ into the deep dermis. This carries growth factors critical in the rejuvenation and remodeling effect. Other treatments, such as bleaching solutions may be introduced during this period.
Following your treatment, you may experience some minor discomfort and look as if you are sunburned. This can often be dealt with through the use of professional skin care products, though generally subsides on its own within three to four days.*
To obtain optimal results you will need more than one INNOPen™ treatment. For scarring, up to eight treatments spaced two to four weeks apart may be necessary. General skin rejuvenation can often best be achieved through four to five treatments spaced one month apart.* However, what is best for your skin will be based on your specific needs and determined during your skincare consultation.
