How Does Juvéderm® Volbella™ XC Work?
Juvéderm® Volbella™ XC uses a modified version of HA incorporated into their patented Vycross® technology. This modified version of HA is smoother and crystal-clear. It is better for use in thinner skin areas, such as the lips. The gel is injected directly into and around the lips using an ultra-fine needle to temporarily plump the lips for lip augmentation and smooth the appearance of lines around the mouth. Lidocaine is included in the makeup of Juvéderm® Volbella™ XC which improves the comfort of the injection by reducing sensitivity to pain.
What Results Can I Expect from Juvéderm® Volbella™?
Juvéderm® Volbella™ XC results include:

Is Juvéderm® Volbella™ XC Safe?
Juvéderm Volbella™ XC was approved by the FDA in May of 2016. The Juvéderm® collection of dermal fillers is considered safe and effective. This has been clinically proven by clinical trials in the United States and around the world. Patients with a lidocaine allergy should not use any of the Juvéderm® collection of dermal fillers. Injections near the eyes carry their own set of risks and Dr. Peña will gladly go over these with you if the use of Volbella™ will be in the tear trough area.
